MSS Named 2022 Greenest Contractor by Solar Power World

Michigan Solar Solutions is incredibly proud to receive the Greenest Contractor Award for 2022 by Solar Power World! This prestigious award celebrates the greenest contractors making their companies and communities as environmentally friendly as possible.

For years, our team has been committed to leading the charge toward clean, green energy for a healthier world for all. When we decided on a location for our headquarters, we also decided that we were responsible for creating a space where native wildlife could thrive–so we took over an abandoned golf driving range, and began the initiative to restore that land. While abandoned for a decade, that area had previously become a breeding ground for autumn olive trees, a native plant species invasive to our state.

We removed the invasive species, and replaced them with native grasses and flowers to re-grow a healthy wildlife environment. Then, we installed 20 bat and birdhouses, some built specifically for owls, bluebirds and ducks. Currently, we’re also looking to work with a local beekeeper to introduce some hives to our headquarters site.
