Michigan Solar Solutions and Oak Electric Receive 2018 Joint Business Leadership Award

The Great Lakes Renewable Energy Association (GLREA) recognized Michigan Solar Solutions and Oak Electric Services as leaders in the renewable energy industry in Michigan.

The 2018 Joint Business Leadership award was presented at the annual GLREA meeting in Ann Arbor on December 8th.

The recipients were nominated for the award by Mark H. Clevey, Vice Michigan Solar Solutions and Oak Electric Receive 2018 Joint Business Leadership Award - Blog Michigan Solar Solutions - Pic_of_Award_at_GLREA_Award_12President of the GLREA and Vice Chairperson of the City of Ann Arbor Energy  Commission, for their involvement in the Solar Club initiative.

The Solar Club was established jointly with Ann Arbor’s Clean Energy Coalition (CEC) and Geostellar in 2016 and 2017 in efforts to promote solar energy in the Ann Arbor area. However, Geostellar struggled to fulfil their promises to customers who had made purchases. This negatively impacted local solar companies’ reputations and the solar industry as a whole. This is where the award recipients stepped in.

“Starting in December 2017, both Oak Electric and Michigan Solar Solutions went the extra mile – at their own expense – to fix this Geostellar fulfillment problem . . .”

“Michigan Solar Solutions and Oak Electric demonstrated outstanding entrepreneurialism, outstanding business leadership and, most importantly, honor and integrity in this effort.” - Mark H. Clevey

Both organizations took initiative and ensured that every customer received their promised solar arrays. Customers are at the forefront of both business, which continuously demonstrate that they care deeply about providing the best service and products.
