* Michigan's climate creates more voltage per sunlight hour than hotter climates like Southern California, Arizona and Florida.
* September 1st -DTE launched their much awaited incentives. They will pay $2.40 a watt upfront (30% to 33%) and another approximately 28% to 35% over the life of the contract. On a 3kw system $7,200.00 will be paid by DTE within 60 days of approving the system. * August 27th 2009 - Consumers Energy starts their incentives. They will sign a twelve year contract with you, the energy producer, for solar electric power generated from your array. In 2009 they will pay residential customers 65 cents a kwh, and 52.5 cents a kwh in 2010 and there after. Non-residential customers receive slightly less. Contact us for more details.
* 30% Federal Tax Credit on the full cost of the system. Companies can take this as an upfront grant!
* Farmers and rural small business can receive a 25% federal grant plus 25% low interest loans to fund wind and solar power systems. Add this to the 30% Federal Tax Credit and you get a total of 55% of it paid for you!!!!
